Little Boy

First haircut for Sparky!  

It's so darling and at the same time...?

Well, I could wax nostalgic over a little boy's first haircut with minimal encouragement, me who keeps envelopes of first curls and wisps for no particular purpose other than to look back and sigh.   

Turtle says she doesn't like his haircut and I know what she means.  But at the same time I love it because his mullet is gone and he's so cute in a whole new way! 

The tug of war on a mother's  heart is just crazy sometimes. Two opposite things can be true at the same time.  I guess it will always be so.
