She Said Yes


 


Today we remember Mary's Yes.  That all-important and glorious act of "Yes" that brought us a Redeemer.  In the midst of Lent, we recall who is at the very heart of Jesus's life.  How profound and beautiful that moment of the "Yes" becomes in the light of His Passion.  She said yes to all of the agony at that moment, unknowingly, but at the same time accepting what would be harder than anything she could have imagined. 



She couldn't know that this would come, and yet she said yes, without reservation and without fear.  Oh Mary, you are truly "our tainted nature's solitary boast."
